Marriage is one of the most important aspects of life, for a lot of reasons. There one that is super obvious, which is many of us wouldn’t exist without it. Then, there would be no dating at all because no one would have the desire to find a partner. We also have the legal aspects, not to mention the expenses during the actual wedding ceremony and reception, and the honeymoon. Basically marriage is more than just getting marry, it comes with a lot of things that we not even think about. Speaking of the wedding ceremony: There have been many statistics that show that if a couple pays more than 10,000 dollars on the entire ceremony, reception, etc. they’re more likely to divorce. ​I sometimes think that people just want the wedding to show off with their friends instead of really thinking of the commitment they are doing.      During the week we talk about dating and marriage which is for me a really sensitive specially for people of my age. We also read The Family: A Proclamation to the World which talks about how God has commanded to raise our families. I would like to talk about divorce which is also a really sensitive topic to talk about, because there are a lot of different opinions all around the world. I like that topic because is related to marriage and is the consequence of not having a happy marriage and that is why the divorce rate now days is really high. Researches show that at least 50% of all marriages end in divorce. The two main factors why divorce rate is been increasing are lack of commitment and argue too much. I think that lack of commitment is been a key factor in recent years because now days we are used to change everything, like we change our old phone for the new one every year, we change trends and outfits every 3-6 months and we are just getting used to always be changing in

  Gender identity usually comes out when you are a kid. There was a point that we talked about that really got stuck in my head, and is how we treat or judge kids that act different. We have a specific term for girls that are always around boys, that are rude, that play with boy toys and that term is tomboy. But what about a boy that is always around girls, sensible etc. we don’t have a specific term other than gay. When we judge them and call them by a specific term, we are literally choosing their destiny because they are kids and they will always be marked by that experience. Why can’t we just stop setting up stereotypes to kids or people and call them by what they really are and feel. Why can’t we stop judging kids by how they start interacting, how they express since they are young. I know that through the years go we are more open to see new things, to let things happen and to not judge others, but I still think that we are not mentally, emotionally capable or ready to see how di

  We all know that social classes exists whether we want to admit it or not. Social class starts with where and who we are born too. Just by little things that later become big like if you were born into a wealthy family, that will directly influence the attitude you develop towards the world and all the people in it. The same concept applies for if you are born into a humble home with or born with just a single parent present. No matter the class you are born into you will experience social and psychological challenges based on the outlook your parents had or have on life. People from the lower and middle class may not like the way upper-class people raise their children. Maybe there is not enough love and too many gifts offered that are seen to fill that lack of love and attention. The same goes for upper-class people, they may look down on lower classes and think that the way they dress or the jobs they have are a horrible.   We all have different family systems and which we don’t even realized, such as symbolic interaction, conflict, exchange, system theories. It is really important to know and recognized each one of the family systems theories in order to know how to solve our family problems.   Each theory has a different problems and challenges and it’s guided to all different types of families. I believe that we can fit in different theories at the same time.   For example, my family will be categorized in the symbolic, exchange and system theories. Symbolic interaction theory because we are shape by certain interactions, interactions like how I grew up like with my family, what kind of interactions we had when I was a child. Interactions like when they play with me as a kid, they helped me with my homework when I started school, teaching me how to treat other people and some manners.
